Rockin' the tent on a
This was the first set our group saw on a very rocking ACL weekend. Some of my friends had never heard JBT before while a few others had seen him while living in Oz and had nothing but good things to say. This set struck the tone for our entire weekend, I think a lot of people were suprised or just plain weren't expecting the beautiful beats that JBT brings. "Funky" was funky indeed and "Ocean" is a rarity in his set lists and a beautiful example of 12 string guitar work, I couldn't get this song out of my head and am so stoked to finally have it on disc. If you were in or anywhere near the tent you'll appreciate this recording and it's quality...it's tough to get a good sound mix with so much noise and commotion going on but it sounds great, especially when considering the dance party that was going on. If you dig JBT check out Xavier Rudd's shows on Archive...he's another groovy Australian artist that rocks it like no other. http://www.johnbutlertrio.com

Fun set
One of the larger crowds to see a JBT show in North America, it's always fun to hear a crowd quickly warm to the band over the course of a couple songs.
Highly recommended for the condensed version of "Ocean", which immediately goes into the tearing solo without the usual buildup.
Recording quality is sweet too, especially in a tented outdoor venue like this one.

Known Flaws:
Pop at 1:54 on track #01.
Pop at 5:49 in track #02. Not sure if this is related to the PA problems that were going in on at
the end of track #02 / start of track #03.
Digi-noise @ 5:21 - 5:24 on track #04, and @ 0:30-0:32 on track #05
Flac's made from original recording sources.
Source has only been edited for length.
